History
The purchase of the operating assets of a magnet and electric motor shop in South Bend, Indiana in 2000 led to the foundation of Magnetech Industrial Services, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of MISCOR Group, Ltd. With the goal of becoming the national industrial services company of choice, Magnetech has grown since then through acquisitions as well as through organic growth.
In August 2001 with the purchase of Meade Industrial, locations and capabilities were added in Hammond, Indiana and Boardman, Ohio. In February 2002, a location in Huntington, West Viriginia was acquired followed in 2006 by the purchase of a motor shop in Saraland, Alabama. With the acquisition of the privately held 3-D Service in December 2007, a service center in Massillon, Ohio was added. With the purchase of 3-D Service, Magnetech’s corporate headquarters were moved from South Bend, Indiana to Massillon, Ohio, to align the headquarters with the largest facility within the company. Finally, a location in Visalia, California was acquired following the purchase of Visalia Electric Motor Shop in October, 2008.
